Friendly and knowledgable custodians of a proud Native American culture, lots of interesting artifacts and beautiful hand made items and displays, including some taxidermy of a few majestic animals...
An incredible wealth of information combined with insightful displays and thought-provoking pieces of the past. Definitely a must-see destination. Handmade Native American gifts include painted greeting cards, jewelry, dream catchers and other indigenous art.
Very informative. Well represented. I would say if you want information on Native American tribes and culture come visit the Nanticoke Indian Museum.
Great experience learning about the Nanticoke people dating back to at least 16,000 years. They have inhabited the eastern shore of Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia as well as other areas in the region. Sterling Street and June Robbins do an excellent job telling the history and showing some of the artifacts on display. The museum staff is also willing to travel and do informational sessions to schools, businesses, and other organizations interested in the rich history of the Nanticoke people.
Went to the Indian Pow Wow. Such a good time. Also loved the food and products for sale.
